FAQ Frequently Asked Questions Where are you located? What is your phone number? The Austin Branch of Texas Siamese Rescue does not have a central facility yet. Until we can build one, we operate as a group of private individuals who foster cats in our homes. We do not have a central phone number. The best way to reach us is via email at AustinSiameseRescue@yahoogroups.com I would like to meet a cat I saw on your website. Where can I do that? We hold Adoption Days in various locations around town to give the public the opportunity to meet our kitties! Please note, due to space limitations, not every cat will attend. Cats may also not attend due to illness, age, social level, or unavailability of the Foster Parent. Please see our schedule for the next Adoption Day near you! I would love to adopt a cat! How do I do that? Please fill our our adoption application and fax it in to our headquarters in Dallas. Please have your vet fill out the vet reference form. These documents can be downloaded here: http://www.tx.siameserescue.org/TXadopt.html I would like to volunteer with your group and help kitties in need! Thank you! Please see our 'Ways to Help' section for more information on volunteer opportunities, as well as items we need donated. I found a sick/injured cat and cannot afford to care for it. Can you help? We do not have access to free vet care, and no one in our organization is a licensed vet. We are not qualified to give medical advice. If your cat needs medical attention, please do not delay! Searching for free help online consumes valuable time. Take your cat to a clinic right away. All vets take credit cards, and some can also work out a payment plan if needed. First, we also have to consider if we have space available in our foster homes. We normally do not have immediate space available, but can usually work a cat into our program within two to three weeks. Cats who have complete, up-to-date vet work will receive priority. Cats who come with a donation to cover future care will also receive priority. If you are willing to foster your own cat until a home is found, please let us know. Cats that can be fostered by their original owner can be entered into our program within a few days. Cats who come into our program will be made available for adoption. Texas Siamese Rescue makes a LIFETIME COMITTMENT to our cats. Our Adoption Contract requires the cat be returned to our care should the adoption not work out. In addition, we have a thorough screening process to make sure the adoption DOES work out! We want the BEST for our kitties - and so should you! If you need our help, please be patient and work with us to do what is best for the cat involved. If you need to request foster care for your cat, please send us the following information via email: age of cat, date of last shots, spay/neuter status, and a clear photo. Texas Siamese Rescue - Austin Branch is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
