Starburst is an approximately 6 year old flame point siamese. She is a very petite cat and does not seem like she will grow any larger. Starburst spends her days lounging around, chatting, and stretching her back legs (You NEED to see it. It's the cutest thing EVER). She doesn't play often, and has very low energy for a cat. She does not like to be picked up, but she will come to you on her own when it's time to cuddle. She also is still afraid of sitting on laps, but will curl right up next to you or on top of a chair/ couch you are sitting on. She has never once shown an aggressive behavior toward a human being and has not had any bathroom accidents. She does not like other animals, and needs to be the only pet in the home. 

To understand Starburst better, I feel like it's very important to share what we feel happened in her past. Starburst came to us from a shelter in North Texas. She sat in her foster's bathroom for a month shaking in fear. At the shelter she was found with an abscess on her abdomen with no indication of cause. We have come to believe that she was once a breeding cat that was dumped after no longer being able to have kittens. Due to her aggression towards other animals, shy behavior, and being scared of being picked up this was the best explanation we could think of. 

Due to the previous trauma we feel she endured, we want to make sure Starburst goes to a home we feel is the absolute best for her. She will do best in  a home without children, other pets, and that is quiet. She would be a perfect cat for a senior citizen, or for someone who just really needs a friend. She is only available for adoption to applicants in Texas.
