Contact Corona's Caretaker/Foster Directly: Stephanie (stefpq@yahoo.com) On a rainy Sunday morning, we were awaken by a “Meow!! Meow!!” We jumped out of bed to discover a scared, wet, skinny, disoriented white kitty running around the backyard. Armed with towels, my husband was able to quickly catch this baby.
As the Corona, otherwise known as Kitty-Kitty, warmed up, we discovered that he had some issues. With a tilted head, congestion and an empty stomach, we knew that he needed our help.
Congestion is gone!!! Corona is filling out on weight and well, the head tilt is still here. A vet stated that it is probably from a trauma injury, so it will stay.
Corona is a fun, funny, cuddling, smart kitten that plays with a 50-lb dog, runs with a total of 5 dogs. He is a huge fan of robot vacuum cleaners, clean litter boxes, fuzzy blankets and bedtime snacks. He is litter box trained but if that isn’t available, he has no problem using the shower drain to go tinkle. Mornings are for a quick snuggle, then off to toss river rocks throughout the house. They quickly slide across the tile in our house so it is play, play, play all day, with a few naps. Early evenings are for quick couch naps in the dog’s bed and it is ok if they want to snuggle. He does understand the household rules and obeys them for the most part. Kitchen counter and my desk are off limits and he knows it.
Because of the head tilt, high suspension that he is deaf and dog loving, he needs to be an indoor cat. He would not be able to defend himself. He is a great cat and this foster mom is not a cat person but boy would I keep him if I could. I love holding him like a baby and listen to him purr.
UPDATE: Corona got to spend a long weekend with an ASR foster who has cats/kittens. Corona did wonderfully! Took him about 18 hours to realize he was a cat and that kittens like to play! He would do GREAT in a home with a young playful kitten/cat. He loves wand toys, laser toys and just being with other cats. A great home for Corona would be a joyful home with humans that want to smile. They must be willing to keep him inside. He is microchipped, neutered and UTD on shots. ***** Corona is social - LOVES nice dogs (and probably cats too). He MUST go to a home that has other pets.
