Duchess is a petite, 7 lb., pure white female kitty with the most piercing blue eyes you have ever seen.  She is 8 months old and still very much a kitten.  This gorgeous little girl was found as a stray in Kerrville, TX.  She wound up at the shelter there and Austin Siamese Rescue was contacted to take her in, which we gladly did.  Afterall, who could resist such a sweet beauty? Once in her new foster home, Duchess blossomed.  She is very outgoing and curious and made fast friends with the resident cats. And, although she doesn't interact with her much, Duchess has had no problem with the resident, 75 lb. dog.  Duchess has never been around children, but I think that she would be fine with them as long as they respected her boundaries and limitations.

Duchess' biggest limitation is that she is completely deaf, as most blue-eyed whites generally are. This is not a problem for Duchess, but it is something that her new owner will have to constantly be aware of and monitor, so that she doesn't get stepped on, etc.  The thing is, Duchess doesn't let being deaf hold her back at all.  She loves to explore and is not afraid of anything.  One of Duchess' favorite places to be is lounging on the window seat and watching the world go by outside of the window.  Duchess also loves to play with cat toys, but especially the interactive ones that she can play with her human.  Oh, and she adores catnip, rolling around the floor cooing in it until she is literally converter in it.

Duchess is a sweet lover girl.  Although she is not a lap cat and she is not big on being held, she definitely loves to be around her human.  Duchess loves to snuggle up next to you and be pet on. She is a bit shy at first, but if you make the first move, she is an absolute love muffin. She also enjoys a good brushing and will let you know with a constant purr.  And, although she is not a fan of being held, she will allow you to hold her upside down and cradle her like a baby for several minutes at a time. So cute! Duchess would love a home with another playful cat or kitten and a human that will spend lots of time playing with her and shower her in catnip. Is that you?

Duchess is being fostered at a home in Austin,TX.  Meet and Greets will be done via FB Messenger or Zoom call with approved adopters only. Her adoption fee is $200.00. There is a $25 discount per cat when adopting two or more kittens.
