Ms. Jellybean is the most laid back little lady there is. Weighing in at 6 pounds, she is truly a tiny cat. The vet estimates her to only be 11 months old so while she is done growing, she still has many many years ahead of her. Ms. Bean was found in Baytown, Texas (east of Houston). While working on getting the stray population down in that one spot in the neighbourhood, she came up one day while I was feeding the other cats/kittens. She was incredibly pregnant and looked like she had a giant jellybean in her stomach, hence the name Ms. Jellybean. I took her in just several days before I was moving from Baytown to Austin and I'm glad that I did because she gave birth the night before we moved to Austin. 3 of the kitties from that colony also came on the journey with us and have since been adopted to amazing homes! Her kittens are currently on the website for adoption as well. Ms. Bean absolutely loves to be around her humans and enjoys sitting and laying next to us while we hang out or are sleeping in our bed. She has been great with other cats and has gotten used to our dogs. She would do well as an only cat or in a home with other cats that do not try and play with her constantly. She is an absolute tiny sweetheart and is ready for the purrfect home to take her in. She is not very interested in toys or laser beams, but she does enjoy eating and scratching her scratch pad. The vet has recommended that she gets Metamucil (or the offbrand) sprinkled into her food daily and that she maintain a mainly wet food diet. She is still interested in dry food and this could just be a temporary thing since she was pregnant and nursing for so long but it helps her digest and pass her food easier. I don't really consider it a special need since it's more like a vitamin for her. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
