Contact Donnie II's Caretaker/Foster Directly: Jesse (jesseblack713@gmail.com) Donnie is a 3 year old neutered Siamese & Domestic Short-Hair mix. He used to be an indoor/outdoor kitty, but has been indoor only for the past year and a half. He is very affectionate, and loves to sleep in bed with you. He takes a while to warm up to guests but once he does, he will hang around and ask for attention. He is your typical siamese, and loves to talk to you. Donnie has had two bouts in the last six months of idiopathic cystitis, due to stress. The first occurrence was likely due to a visiting cat in the household and the most recent occurrence was due to a new puppy in the household. Each time he required a trip to the vet for an exam, urinalysis, pain medication and medication to help with the severe inflammation. He is currently on a prescription diet for his urinary issues. It is for this reason that we would like to find him a home without young children and dogs and, ideally, with an experienced cat owner. In theory, if he is in a home without stressors he shouldn't continue to get idiopathic cystitis. But, it is a possibility that he will need to be on a prescription diet for the rest of his life, and may require the occasional trip to the vet. Left untreated, he could become blocked, and that is life-threatening for male cats.
Donnie does need to go with his buddy Bella as they are a bonded pair. They are both currently using the Purina Breeze Litter Box System, and they do well with it. I keep two litter boxes in the house and that has been sufficient for them. Donnie is on Purina UR canned diet, and Bellla is on Purina Pro Plan Adult Salmon and Rice canned diet. They are fed twice a day, separately. They will come with their litter boxes, a grey and white 72 inch cat tree, a cat scratch lounger and their stainless steel bowls. We are not asking for a rehoming fee but we will be contacting a vet reference to ensure they go to a good home. Please contact Micaela Escobar at m.escobar0109@gmail.com for any additional questions or for adoption information!
