A wonderful Good Sam (Good Samaritan) who helps to take care of the ferel colony behind Sears noticed me hunkered down by the wall of the store. Since she knows all the kitties who live there she knew I was new. Someone dropped me off! That's just so rotten. What if the ferel cats don't want me?
BUT now I'm okay. Mrs. Good Sam took me home and fed me and bathed me and gave me meds and took me to the doctor. I'm NOT a feral kitten. I'm a big lover kitten and I purr and I snuggle and I love to play with little balls with bells in them.
UPDATE: Mewsett contracted a viral infection in her eyes. We provided the best veterinary care AND a Veterniary Ophthalmic Specialist. But sometimes all you can do is hold back the damage. Mewsett had a rupture in her left eye but because it was being treated continually it healed rapidly and she will not loose the eye. She has vision in the eye but she also has a cloudy spot that will probably not go away. It may lessen with time and we're still medicating it, but it's there. Because it was a virus she may have intermittent flare-ups with that eye. She may need visits to the Veterinary Eye Specialist for flare-ups.
UPDATE: Finally a couple of new photos of Mewsett. The clouded spot is not as large as it seems in these photos and it's gotten smaller however she will have a small clouded spot in her left eye the rest of her life. She still has vision in that eye and believe me it does NOT slow her down!!!
