Contact Mewsett's Caretaker/Foster Directly: Rae (

A wonderful Good Sam (Good Samaritan) who helps to take care of the ferel colony behind Sears noticed me hunkered down by the wall of the store.  Since she knows all the kitties who live there she knew I was new.  Someone dropped me off!  That's just so rotten.  What if the ferel cats don't want me?

BUT now I'm okay.  Mrs. Good Sam took me home and fed me and bathed me and gave me meds and took me to the doctor.  I'm NOT a feral kitten.  I'm a big lover kitten and I purr and I snuggle and I love to play with little balls with bells in them.

I got a name now too - Mewsett!  I love to sit up on my back legs like a (ewwww) dog! <G>

Now I just need a special person to be my own and who will love me as much as I will love them!  Would you have room for a little sweet one like me?  Just let my Foster Mom know and she can arrange a meet-up!  I can't wait to meet you and maybe go home with you!

UPDATE:  Mewsett contracted a viral infection in her eyes.  We provided the best veterinary care AND a Veterniary Ophthalmic Specialist.  But sometimes all you can do is hold back the damage.  Mewsett had a rupture in her left eye but because it was being treated continually it healed rapidly and she will not loose the eye.  She has vision in the eye but she also has a cloudy spot that will probably not go away.  It may lessen with time and we're still medicating it, but it's there.  Because it was a virus she may have intermittent flare-ups with that eye.  She may need visits to the Veterinary Eye Specialist for flare-ups.

The issue with the eye does not restrict her behavior or her abilities.  She's a happy, energetic kittywho needs the love of a forever home.

NOTE from Foster Mom:
Should you wish to help with this expense you may dontate using the PayPal link here on this site and request it be applied directly to Mewsett's expenses. Of course should more than the cost of HER care be gathered the remaining will go towards the spay/neuter, vaccinations and veterinary care of the kittens and cats in our program.

This delicate eye care is expensive so I've put together an extra fund raising effort using my Etsy shop where I have a line of custom, hand-made jewelry, gift items and some vintage jewelry pieces for sale. The total purchase price of every item in my shop with a cat theme will be donated to Austin Siamese Rescue for Mewsett's care. Here's the link to my shop: I will be glad to do custom pieces for you at no extra charge!

My family and I will continue to care for and provide all the daily necessities AND a lot of love for Mewsett while she gets stabilized. You will be able to follow her progress here where I will post updates of her progress and photos of her. Should you have it in your heart to give her a warm and loving home, please let me know. Her general maintenace care is not expensive.  ASK about our foster-to-adopt program.

UPDATE:  Finally a couple of new photos of Mewsett.  The clouded spot is not as large as it seems in these photos and it's gotten smaller however she will have a small clouded spot in her left eye the rest of her life. She still has vision in that eye and believe me it does NOT slow her down!!!
