Captain Jack appeared in a neighborhood in north Austin, the Meadows in Brushy Creek, with injuries on his leg and head. A kind Good Samaritan took him in, called Siamese Rescue, and here he is! Our vet feels that Jack was probably hit by a car, and the wound on the top of his head is either road rash or a burn from a tail pipe. He won't be vaccinated until his wounds are more healed, and his immune system a little stronger.
In in spite of his pain, Jack is a nice, sweet purry boy. He likes to be held and petted, already knows his name, and calmly tolerated the examination of his wounds. He was a little nervous about being in a new home with lots of other cats and a dog, but he's already started eating well, and uses his litter box. We are still looking for his home, but have decided that he'll available on October 15.
